If you are furious about how our federal government is treating immigrants, recognize that they treat every human who non-violently resists the goals of the United States the same way, and the goals of our nation are not grounded in compassion and justice, but supremacy. On the faith that our supremacy is moral, And they convince us that every policy and civil rights win is proof of our claims as just rulers of the world. When all they actually are doing is wielding them as a tool to weaponize us for their goals. And as soon as those goals are met, civil rights go back on the chopping block. As we saw with Roe v Wade. These are tools to get us to fall in line, played off as politics, manufacturing consent to swap between the "lesser evils" so well controlled that it feels irresponsible to vote anyone else.
