Are you a piece of shit?

Or are you just not monetizing your strengths that those with all the capital have decided are valuable enough to warrant an economic position that affords you the chance to thrive.

Economic success can be the death of empathy.

That's one unifying trait among those who say "people care too much"

Our empathy stands in the way of capital generation, what they ultimately mean.

When we adopt the narrative of "your success is dictated by your hard work" despite some of the hardest workers in the world barely being able to scrape by, the true between-the-lines is you aren't serving the system efficiently enough.

And who dictates what is "efficient enough" ? Those with all the capital, of course.

Their one ultimate interest is maintaining a system that validates their excessive hoarding of wealth at any cost. 

Up to and including creating chaotic distractions for us to squabble over while they continue to justify extreme wealth hoarding.

There is no level of violence in service of the system that isn't able to be forgiven by the system.

We need to take care of ourselves, to be mentally and physically strong, to organize and to listen, notice how effectively those who want systemic change are driven apart while those who distract from it are bolstered.

True Enemies

  I think we are encouraged to see each other as enemies. When in reality, the only enemy is silence. Silence can't be argued against. Silence is not peace. Silence feels like safety, but what it actually is is stagnation. Bad ideas expressed can be opposed, Bad ideas are opportunities to break people out of mental loops. We assume that people will naturally guide themselves to the truth, to kindness, to but clearly that's not the case. Bad ideas need to be constantly and persistently opposed, because there is no way to know what others are thinking unless they express it. Uh oh, your band mate expressed himself which put your brand at risk. You've done so well not stepping on any of the wrong toes, you've made all the correct decisions, your partner made his bed, better course correct! The spectacle is the true value! You've shown fealty, you'll be accepted back into the circle after a few lashings. You're the lesson to so many others, you've behaved very well. A good boy. What's your comradeship worth? Not this much! Not all the future what ifs, yes you have enough but you could have so much more! You are an artist in the spotlight, your brand is silly and edgy, but not too edgy.  Not THIS edgy. Artists feeling they have the same responsibility as politicians and the powerful is sad. I cant absolutely say if I was a popular artist I wouldn't choose loyalty to the machine when the machine provides a thriving existence, but when your critique is of the powerful and not punching down, apologies feel like cowardice.
