We need to fight
If frustration over Trump’s victory is directed at ordinary Americans rather than at Democratic leadership, then the system is working exactly as intended by those in power. The capital class thrives when blame is dispersed among the people, ensuring that real accountability is never placed where it belongs.
Consider who benefited most from record-breaking political donations aimed at defeating Trump. The Democratic establishment raised vast sums, yet its incentive structure has never been singularly focused on defeating him. Instead, it remains committed to preserving the status quo—blocking meaningful, systemic changes that could challenge the very conditions that allow Trumpism to persist.
This is not a failure of leadership alone; it is the design of the political system itself. Rather than confronting the forces that enable authoritarianism, mainstream opposition is often directed at those who have been swept into far-right ideologies, leaving the real architects of inequality unchallenged.
The capital class works tirelessly to deflect responsibility, ensuring that both major parties serve its interests—one brazenly, the other under the guise of resistance. Democrats monopolize the space as the supposed alternative to Republicans, yet both ultimately answer to the same economic elite. This manufactured opposition traps us in a cycle where lesser-evilism becomes the rationale for inaction, even as it enables the very forces we seek to resist.
But reality is setting in. Something must change. The capital class maintains its grip because, regardless of which party holds power, its interests remain protected. The only way to force real compromise is to challenge that power directly.
Until we have a political movement that actively opposes capital and prioritizes the interests of the people, conditions will continue to deteriorate. There is no path forward that leads to a better future unless we recognize this fundamental truth. Anything less ensures that the system remains rigged in favor of the wealthiest few—at the expense of everyone else.
